Beginner to Intermediate Level Hiking
A 3-day trek through Berber villages and the valleys of Imlil and Azzaden, meeting the Berber community. Suitable for families with children, elderly, and those looking for a comfortable itinerary with mule rides and walking.
You'll leave your vehicle on the road leading to Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1450m), where you'll meet your Berber muleteer and guide. Your first day will be an easier acclimatization hike in the Ouirgane national park. The terrain is gentle, with copper-green soil and juniper trees. Overnight stay in a rustic Berber village guesthouse in Tinzert. Approximately 4 hours of walking.
After breakfast, you'll leave the valley to join the beautiful Azzaden valley. You'll admire the view of numerous mountains surrounded by lush walnut forests leading to the Toubkal and its twin peaks at the top of the valley. You'll spend the night in a village guesthouse in Ait Aissa. Approximately 5-6 hours of walking.
On the third day, you'll climb up the Azzaden valley. You'll head towards the valley, passing through Tizi Oussem, from where you'll ascend to the Tizi n Mzik pass (2489m) before descending to Imlil. After lunch in Imlil, you'll be transferred back to Marrakech, leaving you plenty of time to explore the city in the evening. Approximately 4-5 hours of walking.
