As you depart from Marrakech, a comfortable minibus transfer whisks you away to the starting point of your expedition, where you'll meet your expert guides and the trusty camels that will accompany you throughout the trip. With luggage securely strapped to the camels' backs, you'll embark on a leisurely hike, allowing you to fully appreciate the awe-inspiring beauty of the Moroccan coastline.

Traverse pristine beaches adorned with fine sand, meander through secluded coves nestled between rugged cliffs, and wander through picturesque fishing villages where time seems to stand still. With each step, you'll uncover the rich cultural heritage and timeless charm of the Berber communities that call this coastal region home.

Throughout the journey, your knowledgeable guides will regale you with tales of local folklore, share insights into traditional customs, and offer fascinating glimpses into the region's history. Each evening, as the sun sets over the horizon, you'll retire to cozy bivouacs set up directly on the beaches, where the rhythmic sound of the waves serves as a soothing lullaby. Here, under the star-studded sky, you'll savor hearty meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients, share stories around the campfire, and forge lasting bonds with fellow travelers.

ITINERARY:

Transfer by minibus to reach the Atlantic coast south of Essaouira (3-hour drive). Meet your camel team with their camels near the marabout of Sidi Kaouki. We start the hike heading south, crossing beautiful and magnificent beaches. We finally establish our bivouac near the waterfalls of Sidi m’Barek. 3 hours of walking. Picnic lunch near Sidi Kaouki.

We leave the mouth of the Arhbalou wadi by a mule trail along the hillside. Some shelters under rocks are arranged in small huts to accommodate the fishermen who tirelessly search the rocks at low tide. We continue our journey south to reach the magnificent beach of Iftane and its small fishing port. 4 hours of walking. We set up our bivouac on the beautiful beach of Iftane. A free afternoon on the beach.

We leave Iftane Beach, where fishermen prepare their boats for the next outing. Depending on the tide, we either bypass Lamarka Point by the beach or cross it via a natural staircase before descending a long and beautiful sandy beach to the ocean of Sidi Ahmed Saih. Then, along a mule trail with magnificent views of the Atlantic, we reach the beautiful beach of Tiquert n’Offous. We then climb to reach the argan forest on the plateau of Tagant, Bivouac. 6 hours of walking.

After breakfast, descend to the small fishing port of Tafdna, last swim, and transfer to Essaouira. Lunch, then return to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
